Hidden gem close to Cheddar...

Liked: Beautifully decorated room and the pub was so lovely. The food and staff were exceptional.

Liked: Lovely helpful staff, good food, nice room, good location. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Comfy bed,
Disliked: Being woken several times by car right outside my ground floor window (my space?). Noise of doors, things thrown about voices, leaving at 10.pm (acceptable) returning later, same again 2 am, returning later, and again sometime before dawn. Woken by dustbin wagon (can't be helped). Therefore overslept and was in too much of a rush to make enquiries and only just made my course in time.

Disliked: The walls were terribly thin, we could hear next doors toilet activities. When a door closed it literally shook our room. The beds were not comfy. Food was not the best. Wouldn’t return unfortunately

Facilities good but soundproofing needs...

Liked: Lovely suite and staff were all very polite and hospitable.
Disliked: We were woken multiple times during the night as other guests left at 2-3am, then the alarm clock radio in our room went off at 4.00am (obviously set by a previous occupant and not deleted) and then the refuse collectors arrived at 6.00am parking their lorry directly outside our room! We gave up on sleep at that point. Also there were no instructions for operating the tv and we never managed to work it out.

Liked: Excellent food ,bar, and lovely rooms We were in one of the cottsges outside the decor was very chic and a decent size room . Staff gave us a coffee for our journey when we checked out a very nice gesture and welcome drink with our meal.
Disliked: Very disappointing that there were rats running around the outdoor seating area and around the cars parked beside the cottages that we were staying. Seen them running around whilst having our breakfast and on returning to our cottage in car park. Traps are set but they obviously are not working. Could have done with milk in the room for your coffee and tea instead of having to go to reception yo ask for milk on both days we were staying

Expensive for an average accommodation....

Liked: Located in a room / old stable outside the pub and although limited parking I was able to park outside the room which was handy given the heavy rain when we were leaving. Shower was excellent.
Disliked: Although room was nice inside it was in need of repairs. Sink was cracked, tap was loose and made it difficult to turn off. Bathroom walls had a lot of steam damage on walls, this may have washed off but looked unsightly. Lighting in room was very low / dark even with the wall lights on.
