The Lanes Hotel

The woman and man that met us were friendly and so helpful, directing us to a great restaurant with very reasonable prices! The history of the hotel is evident and I felt comfortable staying at that lovely place.

Liked: The close knit working relationship was evident throughout our stay.
Disliked: Nope, nothing bad.

Very ordinary, would not stay...

Liked: Lovely staff, great breakfast but that’s where it ends
Disliked: Very old tired rooms. Lift wasn’t working and looked to have been out of order for some time. Hard to get luggage upstairs. Our room was not very clean, bins not emptied, floor not cleaned and toilet paper had not been refilled. We did ask about this and was assured it would be tended too but we returned sometime later and it had not been sorted. Very disappointing. My husband asked how we can empty the bins our self in the end.

Liked: Friendly staff, great location and value.
Disliked: The view was of a fire escape and the room was a bit dark

Liked: Brilliant location , hotel & staff..The staff coukdnt of been more helpfulWarm welcoming and friendly Breakfast was perfect brilliant value for moneyOnly niggling issue was the lift wasn't working so it was a lot of effort with the stairs only

Exceptional

Liked: Wow! What can I say. We had a lovely stay here. Hotel staff are really friendly, helpful and actually appear to enjoy their job. Our room was really clean and comfortable. Location is excellent for what we wanted. We were in Brighton for the mod wkend and nothing was more than 10min walk away. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.

Disappointing

Disliked: No lift, not clean enough, too noisy, too small for two ppl

Overall a lovely stay

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and clean. Our view from the room was beautiful as could see the sea from where we were. There’s a limit of on parking space in the front of the hotel, but we were lucky enough to find a space in the car parking area for our whole time of our stay. Location was very good as it’s in the sea front. Walking distance to the sea and only a few minutes walk to the Pier. A lot of cafes and food place near by.
Disliked: The lift wasn’t working when we stayed and quite a bit of stairs getting up to our room. The room was a bit outdated but nothing really that bothered us.
