Liked: Service was lovely and warm. Decor was perfect. Loved the location had never been to Morningside. The pub, the canny man, was lovely. Liked the extras. It was very clean.
Disliked: I don't have anything negative to say.

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, delicious...

Liked: Easy check in, room exceeded my expectations (the photos don’t do it justice!), quiet despite being right on top of the pub there was no noise, big bed, beautiful finishes, delicious meal at the pub, parking available
Disliked: We very nearly skipped this stop and drove straight to our final destination 4 hours away, as maps kept taking us down one way streets, restricted roadways and dead ends. If driving you need to enter via Nile Grove, onto Woodburn Terrace (or Braid Ave, the maps had different names!), and then left onto Canaan), don’t go via Newbattle Terrace. We’re so glad we persevered!

Disliked: We were in The Snug which was well named! A little short on space!

Great place to stay for...

Liked: Good location with easy bus routes to all the sights. Our room was well equipped and comfortable. Great access to The Canny Man’s bar where we enjoyed great food and friendly service.
Disliked: We stayed in a room called The Snug and it was small. Tight squeeze to get into bed on the one side! The bed had a comfy mattress but the duvet was too heavy and hot, would be great in winter.
