Disappointing, won't be back.

Liked: Good location for visiting around Dundee. The pool was nice, and the pool staff were great. Hotel had grounds to let our toddler run about, and it's a nice old building.
Disliked: Room: AC didn't work. WiFi down for the duration of our stay. No cold water, just scalding hot with no temperature control. Messaged before arriving and called ahead to say we don't need a fold out bed, but it was made up. Finally the mattress is terrible. Springs are loud and uncomfortable. Oh and cleaning randomly walked in without knocking as they thought it was empty.Food: breakfast was ok. Evening was a shambles. Restaurant closed because of staff shortages. Food in the bar didn't go well. You have to book but wouldn't let us book in advance. They forgot our table, took our mains elsewhere, realised and apologised then brought us the wrong mains..mistakes happen, we were given money off. Night 2 we were ignored. Waited ages to order dessert or have the table cleared. Staff busy chatting with eachother. Or complaining about how the hotels ran which to be fair... I agree. Parking: costs. £30 3 nights. im ok paying for parking in a city centre, but this is far enough out that it should be free. Having paid to park, half the carpark is filled with potholes or no lines anymore. Plenty of warning signs for fees and fines though, and cameras to enforce.Hotel: everything needs a touch up. A nice building going to waste. The maze they show off needs some real tlc, and the fountain hadnt been cleaned in a long time. Floating rubbish in horrible water.The whole place needs some love.

Liked: Some of the staff were nice. Bed was OK. There is a pool (which I didn’t use).
Disliked: No wifi. After asking: at has been off for a week. And the hotel needs an upgrade and some paint. Shower was fountaining water all over the place. Breakfast is very very basic. With dirty cutlery and dishes. And did I say “no wifi”? No wifi. How is that even possible.

Disliked: Very tired decor and grounds. Parking charges, no wifi couldn’t get restaurant reservation directed to Beefeater further up the road.
