Will rqst for upper floors...
Liked: Lakefront
Disliked: Valet parking was a bit creepy, all I asked was, was it too early to check in about 2pm. The asian guy came back with Rm 1110 is not yet ready. All I needed was a yes or no, he didnt need to check in for me. Its a bit creepy that he should know what a solo female traveler, what my room no should be. Thankfully it was not assigned to me.

Liked: Stayed here recently for my friend’s birthday. It was a group of nine of us that traveled together. The staff and everyone at the Landing were so nice and super friendly. We mainly talked to Charles, Jason, Ben, Nolan, Mel, and Sarafina. Everyone was super nice and treated us like family. I seriously can’t say enough amazing things about everyone here. I felt like they added such a personable touch with the shuttle and letting us know to call ahead and they would pick us up anywhere within a 2 mile range. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Tahoe.
Disliked: Nothing. We throughly enjoyed our trip and will definitely be back.

Old hotel that desperately needs...
Liked: The location
Disliked: I don’t know where to begin as this hotel has so many problems. The images on their website are extremely deceptive. The hotel highlights that they are located directly on a Lake Tahoe beach. What they failed to mention is that this is a private beach and is completely gated by an iron fence. It is owned and operated by an HOA and although the hotel provides guests with a daily pass, it has strict opening and closing times. In front of the gate are parking spaces. I booked a lakefront room and was allocated a ground floor room with an outside small patio. The room was dark, musty and very cramped. Worse of all though was the fact that I had no view of the lake but instead I had a view of parked cars and the beach fence. When I walked outside after checking i, I had difficulty finding my room as I had to first wade through areas filled with old furniture and fixtures which were being stored. After seeing my room, I went back to reception and complained about my lake view room. As an alternative, they offered me a 3rd floor ADA room which was larger but had no view. I stayed in this room for 3 days but found it was not clean and was long overdue for refurbishment. Don’t be fooled by the misleading photos on their website. This hotel is probably a 3 star at most. This hotel is outdated and needs to be renovated. Most of the staff appear to be summer hires and provide poor service. There does not appear to be to be a Manager of the hotel. The hotel robes in my room were ancient and had holes and piling. The chair cushions in my room had big stains.
