Liked: Everything. Beautifully restored and cares for home built in 1886! The Rose Room was large and spacious, impeccably decorated and furnished with a dreamy king size bed. We took full advantage of the peaceful outdoor setting, cooling off in the pool and listening to the calming water features. Then warmed our muscles in the hot tub, while enjoying a glass of wine!There was a quiet sitting area upstairs, a comfy den with all modern luxuries (where we watched our Netflix shows)

Disliked: We had an amazing, pampering, relaxing girl's weekend. What can I say about the grand, and original, claw foot tub ?!? What a treat. Gainesville is a beautiful small town in north Texas. You can wander down to the square and check out the shops, farmer's market and old train depot. Beautifully restored 1800's mansion on an acre of gorgeous grounds with outdoor pool and hot tub. Delicious organic gourmet breakfast- almost impossible to decide from among the options. Do definitely have a pink grapefruit mimosa:) We opted for dinner and it was delicious Connie is a terrific chef and out food was wonderful.Thank you John and Connie, we will definitely be back

Delightful, Beautiful and Divine

Liked: My mother and I celebrated her 86th birthday at this gorgeous bed and breakfast. Our hosts were delightful, the room beautiful and the 4 course breakfast absolutely divine~ We spent two evenings at the Lancaster Manor and plan to return again and again!

Liked: The (made-to-order!) breakfast was outstanding. We were allowed to 1.)select from a wide variety of breakfast options and 2.)pick the time we wanted to eat. Everything was perfectly-prepared, brought out right on-time, and the portions were generous (almost too generous in fact!). Great coffee and the biscuits alone are almost enough to warrant a return visit.
Disliked: In hindsight, I might have opted for one of the rooms with a private bath solely for the sake of convenience/privacy, but the shared (with one other room) bath was well-appointed, clean, and perfectly fine for a one-night stay.
