Great location to spend an...

Liked: The location of this hotel was great. We had a lot of time to kill and enjoyed sitting in the bar watching the water planes come and go. The room was nice and the lobby was comfortable and interesting. The shuttle to the airport was really convenient. The small restaurant served an excellent breakfast.
Disliked: The bar/restaurant was not great. My guess is they were short staffed in the kitchen, as they ran out of forks and napkins during dinner, and it was very slow.

Liked: the food options are good. not much else close by, except the airport so what was offered at the bar restaurant and restaurant was good. the bed was comfortable. Each room had an in window air conditioner. The staff are friendly and doing their best to serve the customers. Laundry machines are available.
Disliked: The location is a bit worn out and needs a refresh. The room I had at the Lakefront Hotel faced the brown wall of the apartment next door - literally about 10 feet away the entire side of the apartment., Not sure if Booking.com reservers get less than desirable rooms. Several items in the room did not work including the refrigerator, the bedside lamp, the USB charging ports in the nightstand. There is a 'resort' fee of $22.00 for things such as a fitness center, airport shuttle, 2 bottles of water, a $10 food credit and wifi. Several hotels in Alaska similarly priced offer all of that for free, and some include breakfast. You will see that the location is not near much else except the airport and the fly in lake - which is fun to watch.

Liked: Situated very nice. Room size. Dinner Food was very good.
Disliked: Hotel has not received major overhaul since years. Is far overdue! Staff partially unqualified and unfriendly.
