The hotel is nice but...

Liked: The view of the lake is excellent.
Disliked: They said it was an upgrade and gave us a ground floor room that was strangely difficult to get to with luggage and I had 2 rooms booked but we got the ground floor which has only a decent view of the lake ( not great). Beware the upgrade scam.

I will be remembering this...

Liked: Breakfast was elegant and delicious. This hotel has the most beautiful view of anywhere I have ever stayed. Great access scenic trails.
Disliked: Nothing

This was the first time...

Liked: Beautiful setting! And the Thermal Spa is enjoyable after a cool day in the rain. The included breakfast had a good selection.
Disliked: Nothing

Beautiful spot - but ask...

Liked: The hotel has a fabulous location - alone on the beautiful Lake. Terrific for walking in the area and away from the bustle of Killarney itself. The restaurant and bistro and bar were all very good and all the staff helpful. Our room had a 4-poster bed and good bathroom facilities.
Disliked: Not every “room with a lake view” gave a good view. Ours -229 in the older part of the hotel - was impeded by the flat roof and gable of the restaurant. To really get the lake view clearly, you had to go out into the corner of the terrace. So we weren’t totally happy.

I could not have wished...

Liked: The location was fabulous. We had a room overlooking the lake and the scene was breathtaking. The spa facilities were very nice and also overlooked the lake. Food and bar were great and there was entertainment on the weekend.
Disliked: Didn’t like the bed pillows but asked for a different type and was quickly accommodated.
