The best staff ever!!

Liked: The staff are the most friendly hotel / pub workers I have ever come across in my life. Unbelievably helpful & friendly! They made us feel so comfortable & welcome! Great location (across the road from Warrington central (although my train came from Warrington Quay (15 min walk). Short walking distance from the town & also plenty of shops & restaurants nearby. Easy & flexible check-in & check-out. I like the minimal style of the bedroom & bathroom. Although it’s above a pub somehow there is no noise in the room. It felt peaceful. Perfectly clean. Breakfast time was extended due to it being creamfields weekend (life saver - but should always be a thing for someone who likes to sleep in like myself). Very easy to get to creamfields from I think maybe 10/15 min uber. The area felt safe for females.
Disliked: It was pretty expensive but I think that was due to it being creamfields weekend. The pillows weren’t very comfy, could definitely do with some new ones but they did the job for 2 nights. A fridge in the room would be great too (but I know not many places do this unfortunately).

Poor

Liked: Close to the station , probably the only positive i would say.
Disliked: It's a pub , which happens to have a few bedrooms upstairs.Roof of the bedroom covered in filth.Lots of noise up until about 100 am, what sounded like beer barrels being moved in the pub.The room smelt foul, coming from either the toilet or the shower.

Won't be going back

Liked: Breakfast was lovely, the bed was fairly comfortable. Staff both on arrival and leaving were very pleasant
Disliked: No hot water in the bathroom, had a cold shower with barely any pressure. The shower had someone else's long black hair stuck to the shower wall.

Staff, stay, room and breakfast...

Liked: I stayed here by myself for Creamfields festival, and was amazed at everything The Kings Head provided! All the staff were so lovely and welcoming and the room was very modern and comfortable too. Out of everywhere I’ve stayed, I had one of the best sleeps here. Not only because the bed was super comfortable but also after a certain time they lock the whole building (pub and hotel), and you have to knock to come in, which for me after Creamfields felt extremely safe and a thoughtful thing to do. Moreso, the breakfast was 10/10! I had a full English and ate everything on my plate, even though it was massive! I would honestly go back for the breakfast, very very satisfied! Overall, I had a wonderful stay here, feeling the safest I could have, sleeping wonderfully and eating well.
Disliked: Nothing.

Very welcoming and cosy!

Liked: Lovely place to stay, very welcoming. The breakfast is amazing and it's perfect for overnight stays for work. Thanks to the guy for letting me in after closing due to a late flight!
Disliked: Only marked down a little because there is an issue with the shower drain that needs addressing... otherwise would be a 10

Pleasant

Liked: Staff were great and had an excellent breakfast. It's a very big pub
Disliked: Parking was across the road and the area could do with a good tidy up due to dumped piles of rubbish. Window's could do with a bit of maintenance.
