Don't be fooled by the...

Liked: Bar was great, staff were great. Really welcoming and room was clean and comfortable. Room could do with better blinds or curtains, as it was on the main street with a lot of street lighting.
Disliked: Breakfasts all looked great and service was brilliant, only gripe was no vegan sausages or mushrooms, so a hot breakfast wasn't an option.

Good but could have been...

Liked: Very close to the town centre and train station
Disliked: No lift and the stairs are narrow

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Comfortable rooms in a good...

Liked: Good location, right by the rail station, with a comfortable bed, and a good en-suite bathroom, ideal for a single traveller on a short stay.
Disliked: When I arrived, I had to barge through noisy revellers at the bar and shout to be heard by the bar staff. No information about the latest time to get back before it closes, so watch out if you are out later - you may struggle to get back in!The other small gripes are about the bathroom: the shower door was off its rail, so I had to re-fit that myself, and the shower took a couple of minutes to offer warm water.

Poor

Liked: Order made full English breakfast was very nice The lady who served breakfast was also vey nice.It would have been even better if there were fruit. It is located opposite from the station and close to the town centre.
Disliked: There was no WiFi although it's availability is introduced on the welcome note and website.I had a very bad fiirst night as there wes no hot water and the bathroom sink was broken and water stayed in the sink. The bed was stink and the electric radiator was dusty and difficult to use. However staff were nice and I could move to the different room next day which was okay.

Really happy and pleased to...

Liked: Great value for money. The bed was super comfortable and the bedding crisp/clean. Considering this is a popular pub near and busy railway station, it was pleasingly quiet. I left very early, so missed breakfast. They offer free parking across the street which was a bonus.
Disliked: Nothing to complain about to be fair. This was not a 5* hotel and neither was the pricing. I would return.
