Disliked: Sadly, they had problems in the kitchen, which led to a couple of items missing off the evening menu, which continued on to breakfast, which did spoil our stay. Bathroom. Very small .

Great last minute overnight stopover...

Liked: Lovely breakfast. Nice room. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Plugs a bit tricky to reach. Bathroom bit of a squeeze. Both v minor!

Lovely stay in tranquil ambience...

Liked: Friendly staff and good service .Easy adacient car park.Wonderful views from room .Cosy ambience in restaurant and bar area .
Disliked: As we are not on a walking holiday we thought it was a bit too far from town .Bathroom was tiny and almost claustrophobic.

Lovely little place

Liked: The food was lovely, the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it

Good for short stay

Superb

Liked: Loads of character, lovely friendly staff, nice dining room for breakfast, by the bus stop, path up to Helvellyn.
