Falsely Advertised and in Very...
Liked: The beds were comfortable, the air condition was much needed and a relief. The bathroom was a good size and modern
Disliked: The bathroom floor was only half clean, no one seemed to mop behind the door. Everything was in a tired and poor condition. To turn on and off the tv, I had to reach behind it to find the switch on the wall, when I looked behind when going to turn it off, I saw that there was a hole in the wall with taped together wires. The room was not clean, dust was in easy to clean areas such as the bedside lights. The carpet was starting to become threadbare in places, like into the bathroom where the gripper rod was exposed and was sharp when I accidentally stepped on it. The beside reading light on one side was not working. There were stains on the curtains. The restaurant was not open. The windows were in such a poor condition that I could hear every bit of traffic, every siren, every blaring horn and rev of engine. It was like the bed was outside in the street. The sound between rooms and people walking along the hall was also more than I’ve ever heard in any other hotel I’ve stayed in. The outside area was nowhere near how it was photographed. Overall it was very, very falsely advertised.

Seems neglected
Liked: The staff were friendly, check in was easy and simple. The location was good for what we needed, close to underground stations and restaurants and cafes.
Disliked: It felt like the hotel was quite tired. The website hadn't been updated to say that the bar was closed, we were only informed when we arrived and asked staff if we needed to book a table for dinner. Our room had mould in the bathroom and the extractor fan didn't work. The towel rail was missing and the bathroom bin was broken. One of the windows had no blind or curtain so we had to tie a towel to the brackets of what should have held a blind. There was only one set of pillows and no spares. The air con didn't work and the plug socket by the kettle didn't work so we had to use the kettle in a socket by the floor. The TV had to be switched off at the wall otherwise it didn't turn off. Considering how much we paid for 2 nights (£256), we expected better. The 4 star rating doesn't fit the hotel that we visited.

Very nice room
Liked: Late check in was helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious.
Disliked: Would've been helpful to know that reception had control over the air con as we would've asked for it to be on considering it was very warm and you couldn't have the windows open due to the noisy road.

For the price of what...
Liked: The location was great
Disliked: The air con in none of the rooms worked and we stayed on the hottest day of the year so this wasn’t ideal, most bathrooms have mould in and the the room is stayed in had mould on the wall next to the bed. The beds also weren’t comfy.

Comfy enough but noisy
Liked: The bed was very comfy and the room was extremely clean. Was lovely having a walk-in shower.
Disliked: There was something mechanical behind the wall of the headboard, so every so often, something would clunk several times and then bang against the wall. Unfortunately, this kept waking us up throughout the night.
