Hotel Description
Located in the most picturesque street in the market town of Ross-on-Wye this 14th century hotel maintains many of its original features including oak beams and a large stone fireplace. Located on either the first or second floor all rooms feature an private bathroom and tea and coffee facilities. Free filtered water is also provided and rooms have free Wi-Fi. There is free parking available on site. The restaurant is also open to non residents and is extremely popular in the local area. It features a 62 foot well as its centerpiece and uses fresh market produce. The Kings Bar has a good range of single malts wines and 2 local real ales. A great location for exploring The Wye Valley Black Mountains Tintern Abbey and Symonds Yat the hotel is within a 40 minute drive of Cardiff and Cheltenham. Goodrich Castle The Forest of Dean and The Welsh Marches are also easily accessible for day trips.

Great location, staff, breakfast, bedrooms...

Liked: The location, the breakfast, some parking and the quirkiness of this very old building.
Disliked: It was a bit tired in parts but unfortunately these buildings and hotels are expensive to maintain. Taking everything into account I would stay there again.

We wouldn’t repeat it. Breakfast...

Liked: Central
Disliked: Very little parking! Our room was above the lounge bar and we could hear every word said as it travelled up the chimney. Room 6 !!
