Terrible!

Liked: Good location.
Disliked: Redoing the review as the previous review was left by a member of staff at the hotel without my consent! When we arrived at 2pm to check in we were allocated 2 rooms. The first room would not open with the fob so they gave us a different room which was fine. Then we went to our second room and the door would not lock from the outside so we had to move our belongings to our first room as it was not secure to leave them there. We went out and were promised that the door would be fixed by the time we got back. When we got back it was not fixed and the door had had the handle removed so we still had no access to this room. The door was not fixed until 10.30pm! I spoke with the manager and he offered a £2 refund and a late check out free of charge. I wasnt happy with this but that's all they would offer. He then asked me to log into my booking account so that he could see confirmation to issue my refund. He then asked to take my phone to confirm this which he did and gave me the £2 refund. This morning our door was broken again and would not let us in from the outside so it had to be propped open by the staff to make sure that we did not get stuck inside. We then went down for a coffee and I checked my emails and found that a review had been left, this was not done by me, it was the manager! I confronted him and he said that he was not happy as someone has done this before. I told him I will be taking this futher as data protection has been breached and someone there has accessed my account without my consent!! After we left he rang me to say he had also contacted booking. Com and they said is was a data breach and that an investigation will be taking place. I will be taking this further!

Single room stay

Liked: Check-in was easy. The staff are very friendly. Nice bar and games room. Family friendly place overall for 25 pounds on a Friday night not bad at all. Would stay again as the location was good.
Disliked: Did not like the email on the morning of booking saying it's 15 pounds for a late key to get back into the hotel after 1 pm I expect to be able to come and go as long as I've booked my room. However, you did not need to pay this as you just got all the door keys. So not sure why they still have this in the email.

Liked: Room was a good size. Was clean and tidy. Staff was respectful and polite. Felt comfortable immediately. Bar is well stocked. House rules are reasonable and explained clearly to you. Only downsides I could see. Exceptionally small bin in the room, better size bins lol! Mattresses was uncomfortable but bearable. Price was bang on for what you offered.Would recommend and will be back again.
