Exceptional and would stay again

Liked: Bonus was the car park at the rear and that's why I booked this one. The hotel was lovely so much character and the decor befitted it very well. We had a lovely welcome at reception and nothing was to much trouble. The restaurant was lovely it had a buzzy atmosphere and the food was exceptional. We ate in the restaurant every evening all the staff were 100% a credit to the hotel. The chefs masters at their craft, and I could have done with some lessons! We booked on a room only basis. I had poached on toast on two mornings and it was perfectly delicious. We felt the buffet breakfast at £20 each was a little expensive especially when my husband would only have cereal or crossiants and nothing cooked. Hence why only 2 mornings of using.

Great place, friendly staff and...

Liked: Spacious room and very comfortable bed. The ensuite was really lovely and the shower was great. Really recommend dining there as well, the food was phenomenal!

Liked: Great decor, cozy bar, welcoming staff. Rooms a very well sized and excellent shower. Minibar /fridge was a great addition. Plenty of cloth hanging space
Disliked: Only minor but music played at breakfast travels through room a little when wanting to sleep through.

Welcoming and comfortable old coaching...

Liked: The location is brilliant. The food very good and the staff very helpful and friendly. It has a lovely atmosphere and is very welcoming. Our second stay here and we enjoyed it. We had a cosy room which was a tad small but had a great en suite shower and was comfortable.
Disliked: The decor is pretty dark and the tea/ coffee/fridge alcove in particular is really dark which made it hard to see what’s what for us. A better light would really help. But all in all a great place to stay.
