Dirty, crusty and unsanitary.

Liked: We could have the dog there.Clean towels.Nice clean bedding.
Disliked: Filthy coffee machine.Kettle full of limescale.Toilet coming away from wall.Plug sockets loose near bed.Only 2 sockets available to use, as the 3rd is on the ceiling.Taps chucked and gushed water, clunking loudly.Mirror on wall 8ft up.Windows old, dirty, struggled to keep open.Cobwebs everywhere.Noisy room (room 5) from pub noise.TV signal very glitchy.No where for dog to wee, just a carpark. Garden Gate was always locked.Didn't have breakfast as was an extra cost, and we were concerned on the kitchen cleanliness.Owners private quarters door was right next to our door, which had regular passings.Steep stairs (wasn't great for my bad back).Floor in bathroom sponge and bouncy. Didn't feel overly safe, and was very loud when walking about.

Homely and comfortable a perfect...

Liked: Everything was plentiful lovely clean and warm bedroom greeted us after a cold drizzly day with a large sash window looked out to the canal. Beds were very comfortable with clean fresh cotton bedding and blankets. Lots of storage drawers and a wardrobe for hanging. The bathroom had a large shower which worked perfectly delivering immediately and there were lots of fluffy white towels soap, liquid and spare toilet rolls. Tea coffee and kettle and also a pod coffee and hot choc machine was an extra nice touch along with biscuits and fresh bottled water. Very good breakfast was cereal and yoghurt followed by full English and unlimited tea/coffee drinks. Perfect location few minutes walk from centre, we only stayed one night passing through on a long journey and wished we could have stayed longer to explore the area it was a good base. Comfortable, spacious and convenient stay...

Liked: This is charming accommodation in a pretty setting next to the Windmill. The hosts are very friendly and obliging and the pub has a good choice of ales.
Disliked: Honestly, nothing. It met and exceeded all expectations.

Liked: It was a lovely pub, friendly locals and landlord, who made me welcome. A great location too as it's very close to all amenities. Comfortable room, with en suite and a lovely breakfast.
Disliked: Nothing, it was great. 👍

Exactly what we needed

Liked: Very friendly staff and locals. Our doggo was made exceptionally welcome. We will be back in the summer and plan to visit their other pub as well
Disliked: No complaints!!
