Nice stay

Liked: Nice hotel, friendly staff,lots of parking, nice relaxing stay.

Very welcome stop

Liked: The location was great. Staff were very obliging and breakfast and parking were included do as a last minute booking we were really impressed.
Disliked: Unseasonably hot night meant an uncomfortable nights sleep despite windows being open all night but probably not much that can be done.I would not like to be unfit having to climb the numerous flights of steep stairs that may be difficult for others

A good pub/ inn to...

Liked: Well located in Melksham near to town centre and with outdoor seating at the front of the pub/inn. A good pub meal with excellent Butcombe breakfast overall good value. Accessible G/F rooms at the courtyard with good parking arrangements.y

Lovely hotel, but eat somewhere...

Liked: The room was fantastic. Staff very polite and helpful.
Disliked: Food was generally undercooked compared to how we like it.

Credit where credit is due.

Liked: On our two previous stays at the Kings I have been critical of the service at breakfast. This time, I'm happy to say, the service was prompt without being hurried. Additionally, we were in room 7, a room we hadn't been in before, which we found very comfortable right down to a sofa.
Disliked: The price of wine in the bar.
