Nice stay at the King's...

Liked: Loved the history of the kings arms, the setting in the centre of Melksham, would and could have been quite noisy, but it was amazingly peaceful, beautiful place, so underated
Disliked: The price of the food was a bit steep, I don't know how you can justify charging nearly £18 for half an English breakfast, it was an extra £4 on top for the full English! Food was good to be fair, but at those prices, you expect it to be.

Lovely and friendly

Liked: Perfect accessible room. Comfortable bed, fan, tea and coffee making facilities.
Disliked: The cobbled front can be challenging for someone with mobility issues

Liked: Nice characteristic rooms (2 rooms, 3 people), good cleanliness and especially that's a point which is very important to us (!), friendly staff, very dog-friendly (we had two young dogs), free parking and overall very uncomplicated and enjoyable. Breakfast was included and free to choose from the menu. Perfect stay if you intend to visit Lacock
Disliked: No AC, windows can't be opened much for ventilation. Shakshuka for breakfast was extremely spicy, even though my son-in-law is South Asian he struggled eating it

Liked: Good central location with car park.Comfortable room.
Disliked: Rooms couldn't cope with hot weather.Food was ok rather than good.

Liked: The restaurant was nice and meals were very nice. Staff very helpful and pleasant.
Disliked: The property is looking tired - could do with attention ~ new carpets ( looked dirty ) - painting needed to brighten up the place - room was ok - bathroom toilet took many flushes to work - paint flaking off the ceiling above the shower - mould on grout around bath - whole place needs updating and a refurb. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable.
