A superb hotel in a...

Liked: Much improved since its refurbishment and my last stay 2 years ago. The room was clean and comfortable and all facilities were first class, as was the superb breakfast.
Disliked: A very minor issue was that the hot water was not that hot from the sink.

Super 2 night stay

Liked: Ambiance im public rooms was lovely Room compact but had everything required and all in good condition. Pretty location Breakfast was good and reasonably priced.
Disliked: Nothing. Would stay there again if in area.

Liked: Staff are really helpful, friendly and nothing seems to much trouble. Food is lovely and reasonably priced.

Disliked: Restaurant was cold even with the fire lit, as the central heating was off all radiators were cold and midweek that means not enough bodies to keep the place warm

Pleasant stay and excellent food

Liked: The property was beautifully located beside the Grand Union canal and the service was very good. The room we stayed in was clean and well equipped.We ate at the restaurant and the food was excellent. The staff team were obliging, particularly Leah and achieved a good solution when when one of the dishes was incorrect. Leah was great!
Disliked: We stayed in rooms 6 and 8 both of which were small but adequate. However, the shower rooms were extremely small and uncomfortable. This was worse for bedroom 8 which had an extremely small shower room, so much so that our guests, one of whom was 6 feet tall, was unable to have sufficient space to shower and dry off. It does raise the question as to whether room 8s bathroom meets acceptable size standards.

Liked: The recently refurbished room was excellent in all respects. The bar and restaurant looked nice although, having had a busy day, just crashed out and left early in morning before breakfast was served...Nice setting next to a canal...
Disliked: nothing...
