Confortable room with good breakfast

Liked: Large room. Surrounded by nature. Nice breakfast.
Disliked: The main road to the propriety is in construction and the alternative route is quite dark.

Great place to overnight when...

Liked: It is adorably “Old School Hawaii”! Room was comfortable for 3 adults. Clean, and the beds were just right after a long day of travel. The peacocks roaming the grounds were a great addition. Everyone was kind and very helpful to find an easy spot for dinner for 3 tired travelers.
Disliked: The location was a bit hard to find, down un-lit windy roads, no signage until right there. But Apple Maps knew the way. Breakfast was pretty typical, lots of carbs and not any protein if you don’t eat yogurt.

Relaxing true Hawaii.

Liked: Unfortunately the bridge leading to Lihue has been closed for over a year. This means a long detour to get anywhere. This impacted on our enjoyment of our visit. Apart from this The Kauai Inn is a very laid back place to stay and very relaxing.

Disliked: bathroom especially toilet seat not clean. Bathroom could use some repair and even renovation.

Liked: A beautiful location, good sized rooms (which were tired and in need of some updating), live music on a couple of evenings was a bonus, friendly staff. Tea/coffee available 24 hours.

Liked: Like: unbeatable nature the property is located at, very good breakfast, helpful staff.Dislike: relatively far from the beach.

Beautiful gardens, well located, friendly...

Liked: Gorgeous gardens, lots of ripe papayas for breakfast, friendly cats and chicken all around - it was a lovely setting to wake up in.Rooms, particularly bathrooms, are a bit dated, but decent cleanliness.
