The Kauai Inn

We especially enjoyed the breakfast...

Liked: We especially enjoyed the breakfast by the pool in the morning and the offers they had for the guests, e.g. the pool chairs you could rent for the day and movie night.

The best stay we had...

Liked: It was a great stay at the Kauai Inn. The personal was exceptional. We were welcomed by the two guys who seem to run the Inn and they told us a bit about the history (it is the oldest hotel on Kauai). We also got a room upgrade with two beds (that our daughter had a separate bed). The view from the room was astonishing and the area was calm and silent. The whole place is green and chickens, cats and peacocks are running around freely which gives it an extra touch. We were completely satisfied and happy with our booking.

Liked: Very quaint and comfortable
Disliked: Need a big coffee maker for breakfast bar.Lot of animal poop left in various places for too long.

Nice Stay with a Country...

Liked: The rustic country feel . A little older motel with Rosters , Peacocks and Cats roaming about. Very relaxing. The continental breakfast was great , Bagels, Cereal various local fruits and great coffee.
Disliked: They played Hawaiian music all day long, not understanding the language it got slightly annoying.

Liked: Amazing place where you can feel real spirit of Kauai :) free parking, spacious rooms, great breackfast, 24h reception and coffee, transport stations! Next time in Kauai we definatelly book it again :)

Relaxing and picturesque

Liked: Room was large with a very comfortable bed and the furniture, though not modern, did add a really lovely feel to the room. Self laundry facility was a blessing. Lots of chickens and cats around, as well as peacocks, but weren't a bother. Jezebel the elder black cat loved visiting my room! Hotel is one of the oldest on the island and I can see why the location was chosen, out of Lihue and with a beautiful view of the mountains. I didn't have breakfast as I had to leave early for a tour and slept in the second morning, but drip coffee and chilled water available any time. Staff are wonderful and helpful.

Great Place

Liked: This place was perfect for us. In a really quiet area but close enough to walk to restaurants and the beach. Free parking, no amenities fee, friendly staff, decent breakfast. Could not want more. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing spot.
Disliked: The air conditioning unit was really loud.
