Exceptional

Liked: Our room was nice and the upgrade to a mountain view room was well worth it. Spectacular views of the mountains! Staff at the front desk seemed tired. We used the shuttle service to town a couple of times which was handy. The walk to town was not super close but very picturesque. Plenty of parking on the hotel grounds which was very useful. The restaurant onsite had nice meals.

Very good

Liked: Views and cleanliness
Disliked: Room lighting was poor. We had lower floor next to bistro and it was a bit noisy. The room had only one chair and huge picture window with great view but people could see in to room. An additional sitting option would be nice.

Superb

Liked: Small modern boutique feel with artistic additions and native art throughout. The plant based menu at the bistro was lovely. The bed was fantastic.
Disliked: The lighting in our room was terrible. Only one nightstand with a light that was more cool looking than functional. No plugs by the beds for phones, etc.

As per my opinion I...

Liked: Location was amazing. It had the best view of Banff
Disliked: Shower in honey moon suit wasn’t properly functioning. Honeymoon suits doesn’t have honey moon fill to it. Balcony railing was obstructing the perfect view of the valley

Liked: Pleasant room and nice view from the balcony over the mountains. Restaurant is excellent and we had the duck breast which was outstanding.
Disliked: The interior of the hotel is somewhat depressing and the access to the restaurant should be improved. The location is somewhat remote and requires a car in order to reach Banff city.

Juniper exceeded our expectations in...

Liked: First time stay at the Juniper, was VERY impressed. Incredible panoramic view from the huge windows of our suite and balcony. Suite had jacuzzi and rain shower, which was unexpected bonus. Bed was extremely comfy, dinner in the bistro was exceptional (rare steak and veggies done to perfection, my compliments to the chef), breakfast was excellent. We came to cycle and appreciated the free e-bike loaner when one of our bikes unexpectedly needed a repair. Also the loan of bear spray and easy bike access to trails and town. Front desk staff responsive, friendly and helpful. Also loved the art and history of the hotel. Gorgeous location among trees and overlooking valley despite highway below. An A+ stay.
Disliked: Minor quibble: make sure staff training guests on using bear spray do it AWAY from the hotel entrance and parking lot. We came through a few seconds later and inhaled some of the residue.
