Comfortable stay, good breakfast -...

Liked: The room was comfortable with an enormous bed and ensuite bathroom. It reminded me of a motel in the USA with a parking space outside the door to your room. It was warm sunny weather when we stayed so we had breakfast outside. It was a good buffet breakfast. The hotel has extensive grounds with mature trees and views across the countryside to the sea.
Disliked: We didn't have a car and travelled to the hotel by taking the train to Faversham station and walking the mile and a half from the station to the hotel. It isn't very far but feels further as half of it is beside a busy main road (A2) where cars & lorries are moving at speed & the path beside the road is very narrow. We took a taxi from the hotel to the station on the way back (£6) but had to wait half-an-hour for it to arrive (it was a Sunday morning). There is a bus to Faversham station (X3 Faversham & Canterbury) but it is a half-mile walk down the A2 in the opposite direction.

Liked: Location, grounds and staff. Lovely afternoon tea, would highly recommend.
Disliked: Unfortunately, we had a metal frame bed and this was very squeeky getting in and during the night when I moved. I reported it to reception but no action was taken, not sure if anyone checked the bed as requested, I certainly had no feedback. As a result I had disturbed sleep for 3 nights, they could not move us as the hotel was fully booked!
