Lovely little hotel with the...

Liked: The charming little hotel has the perfect location, adjacent to Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and the American Girl Doll store right next door! Our room had a terrace that looked down onto the Red Carpet event for the Tony Awards. Since we'd stayed at The Jewel in the past, the staff welcomed us back to the hotel with a lovely personalized note and some snacks. <3
Disliked: Nothing...everything was perfect.

Balcony did it!

Liked: I like the location, right cross the street from Rockefeller Plaza. Next door is sushi restaurant and excellent pizza. Also Italian restaurant, pharmacy and American Girl. Ted's Montana Grill is a few steps away, really good steak.Our room had a balcony, which really adds a special feel to the room. I can't imagine not to have it as the rooms are quite small. Kind of like a cruiseship cabin. The view is great day or night. The street was actually quiet enough to sleep with an open window. The Jewel is a nice, clean, modern boutique hotel.
Disliked: Beds are wide but short, and I am not a tall person (5,4).Pillows are a little hard. For the price, I was expecting top knotch bedding.

My always hotel when in...

Liked: The staff and accommodations are terrific. Especially like the 2nd Fl amenities: free cappuccino/tea machine, complementary water. Having a gym and laundry room also greatly appreciated. Location in City is perfect for public transportation and closeness to theater district..
Disliked: Not anything I can think of.
