Pleasant

Liked: Convenient location and decent price, but that's about it.
Disliked: The structure itself was rather old and not well maintained. There's a bar just below and it was rather loud at night. The rooms were okay, however there were also people that had been living there clearly for months and it really showed - dirty and messy with those people's belongings all over the place.

Liked: The staff are super nice. They help me with everything.
Disliked: Too noisy. You can’t sleep before 1 or 2 am becouse the music in the bar is not loud, it is healthy loud.

Filthy room

Liked: Nothing, but the personnel was nice at least
Disliked: Backpackers hostel ok, but the room was filthy.Workers in the room, which is completely fine, but they were messy.Dirty clothes scattered all around the room, bags of food everywhere. Unbearable smell. It was like living with three teenagers with no parents control.The mattress and the bed linings were also stained.

It was heaven on earth...

Liked: I love the beautiful atmosphere beautiful energy the workers were so lovely and very down to earth they also go above and beyond for everyone who stays their they also have a friendly welcoming vibe id definitely stay their again
Disliked: There isn't anything I didn't like

Location and value

Liked: Centrally located. The esplanade is a 5 minute walk to the left. Markets and shopping centre 5 minutes to the right. Well staffed with tour booking desk on sitte. 2 available kirchens, ample balcony space and on the door step of a great bat/entertainment hub.Deluxe rooms have ensuite bathrooms. .
Disliked: Nothing

Good

Liked: Mostly great except for the kitchen
Disliked: The Kitchen utensils were mostly dirty, old and unusable. The knifes are dull and Potts and pans are covered in burned in foods.

Passable

Liked: Excellent location, good service, good room size for a group of 4 and very comfortable beds
Disliked: The rooms are right in front of the bar and at night the noise is unbearable, to the point that the windows vibrate from the loud music. If you are looking for a place where you can sleep peacefully, this is not it. It is very comfortable but the noise is excessive.The cleanliness leaves a little to be desired, we found used toothbrushes, hair all over the floor and in the beds.

Favorite Hostel

Liked: All in all, my stay at the Jack was simply wonderful! The receptionists are the nicest and most caring of all. The new Kai did particularly well. After more than 2 months I can only say that I had the best time there. The kitchen equipment could be a bit better, the showers are amazing and the atmosphere is just great. Best regards to the whole team at the Jack Union! See you next time
