Great location but somewhat disappointing...

Liked: The location was amazing with a great view around.
Disliked: The interior felt very dated and needs some TLC. The breakfast was poor with a limited selection.

Great location, ok hotel

Liked: Fantastic location in a truly beautiful part of the Peaks, with wonderful views. Fair sized rooms. Food was good. The staff were pleasant enough.
Disliked: Rather tired interior - not quite as upmarket as the website suggests- slightly shabby and in need of an update. Quite limited and slightly pricey bar menu (only one veggie option). The ‘award winning’ restaurant appeared to be closed, so the evening dining is confined to the bar although we enjoyed the meal.

Liked: Beautifully situated.
Disliked: Well, they were as bad as a couple of weeks ago. One member of staff’s reply to me at breakfast, when I asked is any cooked food coming out, as the dishes were empty, yes yes yes, in a, not appropriate tone. The rest of the service was very poor in the restaurant and reception. There was one Indian lady that was good and an older guy the night before, the rest I would not employ .The breakfast food was of poor quality and I had been recommended, not to eat there, the night before.All of in all, not a great place to stay and also very expensive. I won’t be returning.
