Great location, good for any...

Liked: Great location!! Walking distance to everything. The room was spacious with a great view of Surfers. I loved the Rooftop Bar and the night life at the hotel. The pool was very decent sized. I appreciated the complimentary mini bar snacks and waters. The room getting cleaned daily was great. Also a 24 hour reception is also a bonus for our late check-in. Will definitely return!
Disliked: You could notice that the hotel has been refurbished. The bathroom was a bit mouldy around the floor. The shower drain also filled up quite a lot, which indicates at the drain needs cleaning. The hallways in the hotel also needed vacuuming.

I would definitely stay here...

Liked: So central, close to light rail, so getting cheap public transport to and from the airport was incredible! Just 50c a trip at the moment so $1 to the airport in total. The room (deluxe twin room 930) was very spacious, two queens, luscious thick towels, extremely comfy beds, free chips & daily water bottles a lovely touch and the staff were delightful and friendly too. Nice pool, eating choices and great vibes. We had friends staying across the road at the Novotel and it looked shabby and tired compared to The Island Gold Coast! Would stay here again for sure if we visited the Gold Coast again.
Disliked: Our only two feedback was no exhaust fan in bathroom wasn’t the best and our arrival night (Tuesday) it was very noisy from the street activity. However, the second night was fine, so perhaps unlucky Tuesday.

Liked: Great value for money. Great location. Rooms were lovely; with some complimentary snacks, tea, coffee and water
Disliked: We had a hire car and secured a space in the hotel car park. The car park got very full and I’m not sure what we would have done if we couldn’t get a space at the hotel. There was a fee for car parking and this was transparent in the hotel description
