The Inveraray Inn Best Western Signature Collection

Very dissatisfied.

Disliked: We were woken at 5am to dance music playing very loud outside our bedroom window. I phoned reception and the night manager didn’t know how to turn it off. We didn’t get back to sleep. We had a 6 1/2 hour journey from Yorkshire.We are very disappointed as it ruined our stay. I would like a full refund. £185 is very expensive for a very low budget hotel.

Liked: i booked a triple room when we arrived with an hour to spare for a wedding we were told it was only a double room with one double bed they later made up the sofa
Disliked: we were charged for an extra breakfast and the breakfast was really poor, poached eggs were solid and avocado was a paste not fresh , the holumi was not even grilled , raw

Disliked: Our bedroom seemed to be above or near some sort of generator which made loud roaring noises all during the night making sleep almosy impossible.

Liked: Hotel lovely, its obviously an old hotel so smell of damp here & there, no lift which is also not ideal. We ate in restaurant and the food was delicious but we had to pay an extra £30 for brealfast which I think should have been included in price for our overnight stay. But on the whole we enjoyed our stay.

Worst stay in Scotland by...

Liked: Location is great for Invararay and Castle. Invararay is definitely worth a visit.
Disliked: The room was extremely smelly and musty especially in the bathroom which had visible mould. The room is dated and dusty and could do with being updated and cleaned. Unfortunately our room was above the main bar and there was loud music playing until midnight. Could not sleep due to the thud of the bass. Alongside this people were sitting outside below our window drinking and talking until gone 1am. This hotel was expensive and Given the noise this room should have been much cheaper. Breakfast was very poor. The avocado and halloumi was inedible! Parking was a challenge for a hotel of this size and the receptionist was very unhelpful regarding this.
