The Inn on the Mile

A good place to stay if you want to be in the centre of things, but too noisy if you want peace at night.

Liked: Lovely room; attentive staff; brilliant porridge at breakfast; city centre.
Disliked: Situated beside a bar that doesn't shut until 3.30am. The designer bathroom was cold and the taps were difficult to figure out.

Perfect for my 1 day...

Liked: The location of the hotel was perfect since I was mostly staying near the Royal Mile. It is literally in the middle, can't go wrong there! The only downside for me was I had a suitcase and a bag that I had to lug all the way to the top floor since there are no elevators, brutal after a 7.5 hour flight and no sleep. Otherwise, quite lovely!

Great location, charming room!

Liked: Fantastic location, central to so many things. Lovely room. Very small hotel, not a lot of guests.
Disliked: I would give this 10/10 if it had an elevator. Without that, 9/10.

Probably good for one night….when...

Liked: The good: location, location, location.Location is exactly what we wanted and they delivered!
Disliked: Housekeeping was not daily, nor was that advertised. When we asked for daily service, it still wasn’t done. This was highly disappointing. The bathroom was in poor repair, with loose bathroom tiles and poorly cleaned facilities.

Great place for a weekend...

Liked: Great location. The room was clean and very comfortable and I enjoyed the rain shower. Delicious breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Disliked: No elevator but this was in no way a deal breaker for me.
