The Inn on the Mile

A good place to stay if you want to be in the centre of things, but too noisy if you want peace at night.

Liked: Lovely room; attentive staff; brilliant porridge at breakfast; city centre.
Disliked: Situated beside a bar that doesn't shut until 3.30am. The designer bathroom was cold and the taps were difficult to figure out.

Liked: The friendly staff, the room, the view, the pub, the location. They offered an early check-in (small fee), and also had a bag check so I could walk around town. I felt secure at night. The bar staff was kind enough to give me a glass full of ice to take up to my room. Pics are of Room 3
Disliked: The window on the bathroom had a shade, but I still felt like you could still see in. It's a small enough window to be little concerned over. I stayed Saturday night during Fringe & Tattoo, so the noise level from the street was pretty rocking til about 3am. The thick windows were good at muffling the crowds

Great room, friendly staff and...

Liked: In the heart of the Fringe action, this Inn was an oasis. Well appointed and a pub on the main level - it had everything we needed.

Disappointing stay.

Liked: Far too expensive for the standard of this hotel! Breakfast was not included so we went elsewhere. Menu for breakfast seemed ok. We realised it was in a good location for walking about but ver noisy late at night!
Disliked: A cheaper price to match the hotel. £400.00 per night is just greedy!! Had terrible taps in the bathroom and toilet seat was broken!

Liked: Was in a good location the room we had was on the 2nd floor and was lovely and clean
Disliked: The pillows and walking up the stairs to get to the room

Liked: It was in a good location for visiting the Royal Military Edinburgh Tattoo. Hotel is lovely, staff are really nice and helpful.
Disliked: The shower ran cold water, but im sure this will be sorted.
