Liked: Beautiful views, amazing staff! LORNA IS AMAZING! She really got involved with the wedding!
Disliked: Room was tiny, the food was nothing special at all, £270 I paid for the night, bathroom wasn’t clean to how I would think for this sort of hotel

Liked: Location and view
Disliked: For £300 a night the room had places where it had not been cleaned. Thick dust on skirting boards and dark liquid stains on skirting board by bed side. Dirty walking clothes, shoes socks left on radiators outside our room from other occupants. Housekeeping should have removed them and told them to put in drying room, this was never done.

Liked: Location, having eaten and visited many times we booked our anniversary to stay and we were very pleased with hotel .
Disliked: Room was small for amount charged . We were in sister hotel 21/09/25 Skiddaw in Keswick for less than half price, with everything the same.

Liked: Lovely welcome from the gentleman on reception when we arrived. Our room was very spacious with a superb view over the lake. Beautifully furnished and decorated. Very comfortable bed. The food in the restaurant was excellent.
Disliked: Although the bedroom was very clean, there were some hairs on the floor of the bathroom

Liked: Great location with wonderful Lake views. Rooms were of a high standard and bathrooms very clean. Service was excellent and dinner in the Lake View Restaurant is to be recommended.
Disliked: Menu choice in Orangerie could perhaps be upgraded

After a poor start, we...

Liked: Location excellent, staff on the whole good. Food was lovely and view from our feature room was spectacular.
Disliked: We were given our room card, which was a feature room on the 2nd floor. When we got there, the door was slightly open and when we went in there was a hoover and other cleaning items in the middle of the room. There was dirty laundry at the the door, but no one around. So we went back down to report this and I went to use the toilet on the ground floor, after a long journey to get to the hotel, but they were dirty, no loo roll and water on the floor. We paid a lot of money to have a lakeside view, so this was not a good start.
