I truly enjoyed my stay....

Liked: I like (and do better with) a firm mattress, but I was still comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was a little weak, but I don’t know how much people can control that because mine at home is also a tad weak.
Disliked: The room in The Cottage of the Four Seasons was delightfully decorated! But the small decor items need regular dusting or washing in addition to the general cleaning hotels usually do.

We so enjoyed our whole...

Liked: The breakfast was wonderful and delicious. The staff were outstanding and even helped us with our dinner plans (the Red Arrow Roadhouse - we were happily surprised!)
Disliked: The bed was somewhat soft as we're used to a bit more support.

Lovely Lake Michigan getaway

Liked: Beautifully remodeled quiet old Inn, within a short walking distance to Lake Michigan Union Pier beach. Bill the owner, MaryAnn and Colin his staff were very welcoming, warm & friendly, with good local advice. Their cook deliciously met our dietary requests.Peaceful gardens around property with lots of options for seating areas to read or chat. Indoors many room have old Swedish restored "kokelovens" with working fireplaces. We love kids, but it's also a nice getaway, as no children under 12 are allowed.A couple good restaurants are within walking (the Red Arrow Roadhouse, yummy & lively, but crowded bar)or a short drive to Timothy's and others.

A lovely overnight stay. Would...

Liked: The breakfast was exceptional. Owner and staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
Disliked: We had no issues at all as everything was in order.

nice, but needs a little...

Liked: very comfy bed. friendly staff, charming old property, way cool fireplaces!
Disliked: no hot water...didn't matter how long we let the tap run. while clean in general, the place was a little dirty in the corners (our room, at least).

Liked: The people and breakfast was nice.
Disliked: The fireplace in the room was horrible. It was cold in our room the majority of the time. The bed was kind of small too.
