Excellent location, close to all...

Liked: Garden, location, staff
Disliked: Would have preferred a shower not a bath but the room was lovely, overlooking the garden and quiet and made up for the lack of shower.

Superb

Liked: Large sunny room, very comfortable bed, very clean. Excellent breakfast and very good dinners (extra cost). Very central and convenient location for exploring the Cotswolds (assuming you have a car).
Disliked: No air conditioning.... this is a general UK problem. We were there during a heatwave (30+ celsius mid-day). There was a fan provided and that helped. The wifi was terribly weak and kept breaking up.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Bev Sun, 13 July 2025

Disappointing

Liked: Outside appearence,
Disliked: There were so many cobwebs in the bedroom , obviously had been there a while. Bathroom had some floor tiles without grouting , felt grubby, not fresh and clean .Due to a very hot day , 32° and arriving at 8.15pm , ( Time of arrival had already been confirmed ), we were only provided a 10" fan , and only the sky light window was able to be opened . None of these were on or open before we had arrived . A very uncomfortable night . BREAKFASTHad the grilled breakfast, The bacon had undercooked fat rind , their was 1 mushroom , 1 thin slice of black pudding , 2 hard poached eggs, 1 whole tomato with thick chunck of unedible core . The toast was delucious .The Premier Inn knocked spots off this hotel.

Beautiful Coaching Inn with amazing...

Liked: Beautiful Coaching Inn, steeped in history, staff were always happy to help, food was amazing and very dog friendly.
Disliked: A little dusty but as it was so old it didn't matter.

Exceptional - 5.0 out of 5

Perfect hideaway

Liked: So comfortable and relaxing. Head hit pillow and immediately asleep. The room faced the main road, but with the soundproof window, I heard nothing. The breakfast portions were large and cooked breakfast served. WiFi good and no phone signal. Which is perfect when no one can phone you! In the heart of the Coltswold.
Disliked: The premises are in the trough of the hills and turning right was too dangerous with the 60mph speed. Had to turn left.

Disliked: Our room at front of building so some road noise.
