I should have stayed in...

Liked: The staff were great couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was great. Battered fish n chips great.
Disliked: Room 8 shouldn’t be let without refurbishing. The bedding and towels were clean but the room was very very tired and that’s putting it kindly! It was shabby! The paint work, the silicone around the shower the wall paper. Also not the pub itself but the pub toilets

Pleasant and lovely staff

Liked: Location was excellent and staff were lovely. Good shower and great breakfast options. Breakfast was really good and loved the grounds themselves, comfortable and great atmosphere.Iron was right in the room and good quality which was really helpful and my room was graced with a good sized mirror.
Disliked: I stayed in the annex and the weather was warm during my stay which means that without AC it got uncomfortably warm. Having any of mind of hot shower immediately made the room stuffy and hot and fogged up all the mirrors in the room which made it hard to get ready. They did supply a fan but the fan is very small and has seen better days, didn’t stir any air at all. There’s also no ventilation. The bed was also a bit uncomfortable with a depression on one side that made it a little awkward. A mini fridge inside would be helpful too.My other concern was mainly around accessibility from the street. This is probably just my hyper awareness as a woman, but very conscious that all that stood between me and someone trying to get in was a double glazed door. To be clear I didn’t have a problem during my stay, just to say it did worry me a bit.

Very good

Liked: Location was ideal, comfortable bed and very spacious
Disliked: Think front window should be frosted as very public when curtains open and a bit noisy when on the front street
