A warm welcome, great food...

Liked: Friendly welcome from Rowena, who also showed me how to get round to the car park at the rear. A very pleasant checking in experience, with all the info I needed. Breakfast was scrumptious - its not often you get runny poached eggs in a hotel, but these were cooked to perfection. I dined at the restaurant the second night, and they couldn't have been more accommodating: because of a food intolerance, they adapted one of the dishes to suit me. All in all a fabulous hotel, with a great team and I will definitely rebook next time I'm in the area.
Disliked: The digital signal for the TV was absolutely rubbish!!

Liked: The rooms are looking tired . In need of fresh coat of paint and some attention to detail on the cleaning . Bed shower very clean . Dirty skirting boards litter on floor in bathroom . No where for the toilet roll . Needed 6ft length arms to reach it on the shelf or place on floor near toilet . stains up bathroom walls . Lack of accessible mirror made putting makeup on difficult . one in bathroom too ,low one behind tea making facilities very dark staircases up to rooms very dark and in desperate need of painting , Carpet outside kitchen door and where you check in VERY GRUBBY . My shoes stuck to the floor . Staff and breakfast excellent

Liked: Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fabulous, good choice and food piping hot. Parking space great and not over priced. Hotel position very good. Room comfortable and clean.
