The Spotlight on The Inn at Centre Park

Historic Charm Meets Concert Convenience in Reading

Modern amenities meet timeless elegance at The Inn at Centre Park, a charming bed and breakfast nestled in the heart of Reading, Pennsylvania. Located just a short drive from local concert venues and downtown nightlife, this B&B offers a peaceful, welcoming retreat with thoughtful touches like free WiFi, daily room service, and scenic garden views. Whether you're gearing up for a show or winding down after one, the Inn's relaxing atmosphere and personalized service make it a memorable part of your music-filled getaway.

Why Concert-goers love it

Thanks to its peaceful residential location, you’ll enjoy a quiet night’s sleep after the encore. With free private parking, getting to and from shows is a breeze—no last-minute scrambling for spots or pricey garages. Guests also love the flexible, laid-back vibe, perfect for recovering after a late night out. While not directly in the nightlife district, the Inn is close enough to reach venues and restaurants by car or rideshare in minutes.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking to stay somewhere with character
- Solo travelers checking off a bucket-list artist
- Couples enjoying a concert weekend with a touch of romance
- Fans who need a quiet space to recharge post-show
- Budget-conscious music lovers wanting value with charm

Food and Drink Options

While the Inn doesn’t have a full-service restaurant, guests rave about the fresh, homemade breakfast—a perfect way to ease into the day after a late night. There’s also a coffee machine in every room, and you're just a short drive from downtown Reading’s dining scene, including late-night bites and local gems. Don’t expect room service at 2 a.m., but you’ll have what you need to start and end your day right.

Nightlife Options

Though the Inn itself is more focused on rest and relaxation than revelry, you’ll find bars, lounges, and live music venues just a short drive away in downtown Reading. It’s the best of both worlds: a night out on the town, followed by a serene, cozy retreat.

What People Say

Guests consistently highlight the beautiful historic architecture, spotless rooms, and warm, attentive hosts. Many mention the comfortable beds and the peaceful, garden-like setting as ideal for recovery after a loud night at a show. The reliable WiFi and in-room TVs also score points for post-concert wind-down time.

Areas for Improvement

The vibe here is definitely more “country inn” than “city hotel,” so if you're looking for 24-hour front desk service or a buzzing lobby bar, this might not be your scene. Also, check-out is on the early side at 8:00 a.m.—a bit tough after a late-night encore.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want a peaceful, comfortable stay with personal touches and historic charm, The Inn at Centre Park hits all the right notes.

Overnight getaway to see a show. Stayed in Wilhelm room. Jaw dropping room decor; cozy spaces; comfy bed; spacious bathroom with amenities including bathrobes; sodas and waters provided; plus a filling breakfast with fresh fruit and fluffy waffles served in the morning. Owner wasn't snooty as one might think at an elegant place like this. Was totally cool when we asked him where we could smoke. We chose the ashtray behind the building, but there are chairs and a table out front on the porch with an ashtray. Owner friendly, welcoming, classy, and as cool as his residence.

Liked: Room decor, amenities, breakfast.
Disliked: Nothing.
