The jewel of Vicksburg

Liked: Warm. Feels like home. The grounds themselves are an attraction, add on exceptional service and welcoming hearts. This is the jewel of Vicksburg. I will definitely come back here. The restaurant’s food is to die for. Even on a Monday night. Well done y’all.

A great experience, more than...

Liked: Not just an overnight stay but a real destination. Plan to stay for awhile and enjoy a home tour with Amy. The more you learn about the property the more interesting it becomes. The breakfast was far superior and an on site restaurant means there is no reason to leave unless a tour of the Vicksburg is on your agenda. The home is lovingly preserved for visitors to enjoy. Our room had a modern bath with shower and everything you need with a lot of history. First class all the way!
Disliked: More parking would be a good addition.

Superb

Liked: Neat old mansion. Nice grounds. Nice furnishings (antiques).
Disliked: Long haul for luggage. Narrow staircase. A little cold for old people on a cold morning.

Don't Hesitate, This Place is...

Liked: Fascinating, beautiful historical mansion. Friendly and accommodating staff - special shout out to Anthony and all the kitchen and housekeeping staff. Comfortable bed, gorgeous furnishings and grounds, outstanding breakfast. Will definitely stay here again if we're ever back in Vicksburg.

Beautiful facility but too hard...

Liked: The stairs were horrible and you wouldn’t let me stay in a first floor room because I had a service pet. I won’t stay again. I loved the place other than that. It was quite hard to take my dog down two flights of stairs to go to the bathroom.
