Avoid the bar and restaurant...

Liked: Bedroom and en-suite bathroom, big enough, clean enough (although lots of dust on curtain border) and comfy enough with sufficient parking. The outside gardens and eating area is beautiful, although sadly we was not able to make use of them.
Disliked: The male member of staff behind the bar, who was very clearly doing his best not to serve us, serving everyone new coming into the bar than us, and going slow about it to. Almost like he was trying to time us out of getting food.Eventually managed to get the waitress to take our food order. We asked for something off the main menu and something from the room service menu, to be served to the table rather than the room, as my Aunty only wanted a sandwich for dinner.Still unable to order a drink I went to my table, deciding to wait until the bar was clear then there would be no reason to not get service. While waiting he suddenly noticed we had managed to order, and announced that sandwiches are never available in the evening. I went to show him the photo I had taken of the room service menu, which showed otherwise. We do not make sandwiches in the evening, and we cant and therefore wont. How can we get you something we dont do. Again I explained it is what is advertised, at which point he sarcastically said 'see you later', at which point we left, and found a meal deal in the little tescos over the road.Only reason because of the above, the rating is not even lower due to this, is I reported this to the manager in the morning and she promised action. However that is what happened, seriously affecting my evening after travelling 225miles to visit my dying Mum in hospital. Hopefully IF I ever return he won't be.Then in the Morning for breakfast (which in itself was nice), the promised toast never arrived, and although the glasses for the orange juice did too, no juice was ever served either.
