A great place to stay,...

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful. I could not have asked for more
Disliked: The cooking in the restaurant was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Rather disappointing.

Great overnight stay

Liked: Good location, fresh room, great Bathroom and shower very clean and bright looks fairly new

Liked: Excellent staff - some of the best I've met at any hotel. Good food and drink selection.Comfortable accommodation with a handy central location which is well signed from the main road.Plenty of parking.

OK but wouldn't go back.

Liked: The communal areas were very nice for a building of this age. The breakfast was good. We didn't try dinner as on the night we wanted to have dinner the hotel were serving Christmas dinner, mid November? Room itself was clean with excellent wi-fi speeds. Parking OK. Tea/coffee facilities good, with biscuits! Some staff very nice.
Disliked: We've stayed in hotels, all stars and all over the world, and this room, 128, had the worst view we've ever had, see photos. There were also people working outside the window so we had our curtains shut throughout our five night stay. The noisy kitchen fans seemed to be right outside our window so window kept tightly shut, so no ventilation. On the whole staff efficient rather than friendly. Tiny TV. This was a 'standard' room so I guess you get what you pay for?

Exceptional customer service, food wonderful...

Liked: Feels very grand and the staff were exceptional and food amazing.
Disliked: only a bit to warm to sleep in.

A very good comfortable hotel...

Liked: Breakfast was excellent, with fruit, cereals and hot food to order, all served to your liking. Had a 2nd floor room at the front of the hotel which looked out over the river. Hotel has an extra car park at the rear of the hotel with barrier entry.
Disliked: Nothing not to like

Liked: My room was an upgrade - lovely surprise! Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very kind.
Disliked: No heated towel rail in the bathroom( didn?t work). Staff need to keep their private conversations private. I heard comments about colleagues and details of what they?d done the night before .. general chat in the foyer. It was not professional.
