Nice hotel, could be better

Liked: Excellent location, clean, comfy beds, nice breakfast
Disliked: Arrived 2.40, two people behind reception with no customers there but wouldn’t check us in till just before 3oclock, two other couples waiting as well. Asked for a £100 deposit incase of damage to room but was told it wouldn’t come out of account would just be pending. It did come out and only got back next day after dinner. Shortage of plug sockets, non at side of bed.

Superb

Liked: Ideal location. So close to the Peace Hall and the train station.Good value for money. Room spacious and clean. Car parking available. Staff very friendly and obliging
Disliked: 2 beautiful large windows in our room but no blinds or net curtains up. Very much like goldfish in a bowl so had to close the curtains which was a real shame shutting the day light out but did not impact our stay.

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean but shabby. Notice in bathroom to use bath mat and pull shower curtain, but there was no bath mat or shower curtain. Picture over one bed ,nails over the other bed but no picture. This hotel is in a fantastic area next to a great venue. They are missing a trick,no wine in the hotel on arrival, manager not there with keys. Returned after a fantastic gig, no crisps,nuts, chocolate You have a gold mine here,play on it.
Disliked: Rooms clean but shabby,need a good tidy up. Bathroom stunk of damp,not pleasant.
