Convenient for train station and...

Liked: Cleanliness and location for train station and peace hall amazing. Breakfast cooked to order. The room had an upstairs sleeping area which gave it loads of character. Room deposit of £100 taken at check in and refunded a few hours after we left. We would stay here again. Reception staff friendly and cooked breakfast as well.
Disliked: The check in took over an hour stood in a queue. A coach party arrived just before us and they had to book in separately. Having worked in a hotel in the past I was wondering why a group check in or a bit of preparation wasn’t done. The bathroom was clean but a little dated.

Liked: Good central location with parking
Disliked: Poor service on check in, the room and bathroom were filthy, sticky carpets, sticky cups, the walls were covered with stains. Sort of place you clean your shoes on the way out.

Awful- ruined a special evening...

Liked: Good location
Disliked: Rooms didn't match the ones shown on booking.com - tired, worn, badly stained carpet, very small room - no blind in bathroom, toilet roll holder broke , dirty cups on tea tray, huge tv covered the mirror, bedside shelves were loose from the wall, picture on wall had no glass in, broken shade on glass wall light next to bed, and just felt very unloved and run down - also £100 damage waiver was taken on arrival which was not mentioned on booking.com, indemnity insurance certificate on wall was out of date by 3months - book with caution at £119 for room only - it wasn't a budget price

Disappointing

Liked: Great location for the piece hall.
Disliked: Room wasn't ready when we arrived, waited till gone 4.00 before we got in the room.When we eventually got in the room, although a good size room the furniture was tired and needed modernising, the toilet seat was broken and we had an issue getting back in the room when we returned at the end of the night, the card entry lock was faulty.

Poor

Liked: It took 35 minutes for someone to check us in to the hotel despite ringing the bell and actually calling the hotel twice and being told someone would be there in a minute. Walked into the bar, to find the woman I’d spoken to on the phone casually chatting to a customer who had gone to the bar. No hairdryer in the room, stained bedding and an awful, dated bathroom and room. Stayed here before and rooms were nicer. This was just grim
