Fantastic location to Piece Hall...

Liked: The location to Piece Hall was fantastic. For that reason alone I would stay again.
Disliked: The hotel is a bit dated. No lift either.

Liked: Very central to shops restaurants bars - hotel rooms a little dated but very clean everything you need staff very pleasant and helpful

Liked: Location is good, it’s about a 2 minute walk from the station, and right next to The Piece Hall
Disliked: The room left a lot to be desired . The furnishings are circa 1980 , as are the bathroom fittings . Walls are paper thin. I could hear the people in the room next to mine chatting all night . I was a bit concerned by the state of the extractor fan in the bathroom ( will upload a picture ) which seemed to be held in place by having tissue stuffed around it. Is this safe ?

Disliked: Car park difficult to find.We had to ring the hotel from the town as couldn't find itDidn't expect to have to pay a £100 deposit for room on top of high room rate already paid2 lots of guests complaining in reception about their rooms being unclean when we arrivedLed to argument between a guest and member of staffNot a good start to our stayFortunately our room was cleanRoom OK and clean but quite shabby for price charged

Great for Piece Hall events

Liked: Ideally located for events at The Piece Hall and railway station.
Disliked: Room had bits on the floor where a vacuum cleaner could have easily resolved.

Disappointing

Liked: Lovely staff.
Disliked: The bed was awful. Mattress unbearable.

Disliked: Decor a bit grubby, lack of staff and noisy all night from other guests partying in their rooms until about 6am .m
