Liked: Polite and friendly staff, big room, comfortable bed
Disliked: Kettle had black debris inside and not cleanNo shower gel/shampoo in the bathroom Water temperature regulation almost impossible

Ok for one night

Liked: Staff friendly, room was clean.On site parking.Very comfortable clean bed.
Disliked: Old decor, bathroom very small and again old n tired but still clean. No shower wash.

Liked: The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of the town. Plenty of excellent cafes & restaurants which is essential as there's no food available at the hotel itself. Parking is available.
Disliked: Access to car park & hotel is accessed down a narrow lane at back. A sign to indicate the hotel would be helpful.

Hunt Lodge

Liked: Room was very clean with fresh bed linen and towels. Flat screen TV with Freeview. En suite with shower. Good free parking by hotel entrance. Nice view across community gardens. Train station just a few minutes walk away. Tea/coffee making facilities. Ok for an overnight stay. Rooms upstairs but no lift so not suitable for everyone
Disliked: Hotel in need of a refurb as looking very tired and old fashioned and had a stale smell to it. Coloured bathroom clearly dated it. Standard wash hand basin too big for en suite and had to squeeze past the basin and door frame to get into shower. Shower tempreture difficult to control, fluctuated between freezing cold and extremely hot. Furniture in the room was old and did not match, no wardrobe just a wall mounted hanging rail. Window to room was wooden frame, single glazed unit so a bit cold. Only one side of the curtains closed but some insulation from the February weather.
