Uncomfortable beds, small rooms and...

Liked: The location, staff and amenities were great!
Disliked: The room is uncomfortable. The mattress is hard, the AC is loud and doesn’t cool the room much. We got a room right in front of the train tracks so it was a very unrestful sleep.

Beaware of Bed Bugs

Liked: When I left.
Disliked: I initially stayed at The Hoxton with a group of friends, one of whom discovered a bed bug in their room. Based on how the hotel handled the situation, I’ve chosen not to return—now or in the future. There was a clear lack of communication and transparency regarding how the issue would be addressed, and the hotel’s protocol for managing such incidents raises serious concerns. Not only did they fail to explain their remediation process, but they also went back on an earlier offer to provide compensation for the inconvenience, time lost, and stress caused by the situation. At one point, they recommended using a dry cleaning vendor for decontamination, only to later attempt to shift that cost to the guests. Despite all this, the hotel claimed they had “gone above and beyond” to accommodate my friends—a characterization I find entirely inappropriate.Unfortunately, similar complaints about poor issue resolution can be found in other guest reviews online, suggesting this may not have been an isolated incident.

Vibey cool London-esque hotel in...

Liked: The Hoxton is a great hotel. The amenities are very cool - although be sure to check out the timings as we didn't get to end up using the pool due to it shutting at 4pm which we weren't aware of. The Ladybird speakeasy was absolutely great and they have some cool recommendations by reception from previous guests of fun restaurants bars and things to do which was a nice touch.
Disliked: There was a bit of an issue with our room, it seemed like after we checked in there was sugar/sand in the bed which was a bit off-putting. We found a couple of staff members a little tricky to interact with but the majority of the staff were exceptionally friendly helpful and understanding.

Wouldn’t stay here again

Liked: Location
Disliked: Paper thin walls and doors, you can practically hear someone whispering from down the hall.I guess it attracts a pretty rowdy crowd in the summer. People throwing parties in 200 square feet rooms on my floor.
