Bad

Liked: Would of been to to be able to review the place
Disliked: Getting a message 1 hour before you set of to say its cancelled due to overbooking. Rang a local pub near by to be told been shut for 2 weeks. People turning up to find it closed. Very very disappointed as it was for mothers day.

Underwhelming

Liked: The bed was comfy enough and the parking was convenient. The young wait staff at dinner were lovely. The butter rose shape was a nice touch.
Disliked: The fridge in the room was very loud. The hot tub had tiny bits of rubber floating in it. The landlord / chef wandering around the dining area in his chef whites watching us eat our breakfast was unnerving and too intense. The breakfast was not good, the eggs had too much garlic in them and the sausages were gritty and tasted far too gamey. The beans were cold by the time they got to us and the bacon was anaemic and the fat was gelatinous. The toast was good? Combine not enjoying the breakfast with the chef hovering in and around the dining area and we couldn't wait to get away, I felt that I couldn't truthfully say I wasn't enjoying the food without being challenged by the chef, who I presume is also the owner.

Worst Birthday

Disliked: Not cancel our room and table at 10.45, just when we were about to leave home to travel to the hotel for my husband's Birthday.

Hidden gem!

Liked: The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The addition of a private hot tub is the icing on the cake. The food is of very high standard and exceptionally good produce provides an unforgettable experience. Friendly staff throughout. We will be returning ASAP.
