Housed in a historical Victorian Building built in 1854 The Hotel Shamrock features a variety of on-site dining venues. The hotel is located in the heart of Bendigo adjacent to Rosalind Park and 1.1 mi from Bendigo Railway Station. Great Location, but tired hotel....

Liked: Location
Disliked: Bathroom didn't have walkin showers, which I requested when speaking directly to the hotel, and was told not a problem. We are all over 70 and climbing into a bathtub to have a shower wasn't ideal.Also, in our case, the bath wasn't clean.They also messed up which group was to be in which rooms.

Short but sweet

Liked: Room was excellent and clean
Disliked: Dinner food was not as good as it could have been. Breakfast was fine. Coffee good.

Good for the history and...

Liked: The very high ceilings in the rooms and the location is perfect. The bed was comfortable and a good size room. It’s handy to all the main attractions. The dining room was pleasant and food was very nice.
Disliked: The carpet was very marked and the lounge chairs were thread bare. The room isn’t refreshed unless you request it. We stayed for 3 nights and had 1 small body wash between us. The room is in need of a freshen up.

Disliked: Room was not acceptable. Very unpleasant odour.
