Liked: If you have business at the Wapello County Courthouse, there is no closer hotel.
Disliked: The lock on my door broke and I could not get into my room after I went downstairs to get dinner. I tried to get the door open with my key, and then I had to have management try. Long story short, it took about 15-20 minutes for them to be able to get the door to my room open. By that time, my take-out was cold.

Liked: It was quiet and breakfast was ok
Disliked: There were no blankets on the bed and they double charged me for the room and made me wait for the charges to fall of instead of refunding me. They also charged 2 deposits when we extended our stay. Won't likely be staying there again

Liked: Location downtown OTTUMWA Great, Staff Great,Building has lots of potential, but smoking, carpets need to be cleaned at least a good 4 times carpet extracted or completely changed out, beds were decent, lights extremely dim, an odd ordor through out the entire hotel, musty moving towards moldy smell. Like I said, investment for renovations, upgrade the old dive bar on first floor, make it a MODERN dive bar, maybe ax throwing or newer sports bar type. Attract young people there, seems like it's more of a seniors bingo with liquor place, smoking
