The Hotel Chalet at The Choo Choo

Hotel was clean and staff were helpful and friendly. Walls are very thin. We could hear every word our neighbors were saying at night when we were trying to go to sleep.

Disliked: The walls were very thin. Our neighbors stayed up late playing games and laughing and having a good time and we could hear every word they said.

Liked: friendly staff, beautifully decorated room, great facilities and super location with a few diners and bars within a 2 minute walk. bar is really nice too.
Disliked: no coffee in the room, but there is a coffee shop at reception, so its not a massive deal.

The train theme and dining...

Liked: The charming atmosphere made our stay pleasant. The restaurant by the trains was amazing in atmosphere, service and food quality.
Disliked: Loved the Train Theme & Restaurant Service — But the Front Desk Was Off TrackI truly enjoyed the nostalgic train theme and the Chattanooga Choo Choo song, which gave my stay a unique and charming touch. The restaurant service was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and everything you’d hope for in Tennessee hospitality. The bellhop was also a delight: professional, warm, and welcoming.Unfortunately, the front desk service did not match the same standard. On multiple occasions, I was met with curt responses, forgotten requests, and a lack of basic courtesy, even when the lobby was not busy. One receptionist in particular was dismissive—avoiding eye contact, cutting conversations short, and making me feel as if I was interrupting rather than being served. At one point, I waited while three staff members chatted among themselves before acknowledging me.It’s a shame, because the hotel’s theme and restaurant service truly shine. If the reception team could match that same level of warmth and attentiveness, this would be an exceptional stay from start to finish.

Disliked: Wish room doors has a quiet shut feature. People were loud closing room doors as they latched hard.Wish there was an ice machine rather that using lobby cafe area.
