Very good stay, location next...

Liked: Cooked breakfast very good.
Disliked: No bowls were on show in which to place granola or cereals. Had to ask for one.Also some people like to add sugar to cereals - difficult to do when only lump sugar on the table.

Liked: Lovely large top-notch room. Quiet situation. Conveniently situated to explore the Fylde not far off the M55. Great breakfast. Lovely staff. Very impressed. Couldn’t fault it.

Disliked: I spend lots of time in hotels, with my expectations changing depending on the price and location. This is a relatively expensive hotel. Unfortunately , the quality of service is bad, with many independent faults unacceptable for this price bracket. Over our three-day stay:1. We missed breakfast on the first day due to incorrect information from the staff - given in writing! We were offered Greggs instead. Costed us time and money to find a more healthy breakfast than Greggs2. Our room, with many valuable possessions, was left open by the cleaners on the second day. As a consequence, anyone staying in that wing of the hotel could access our room in our absence.3. Cleaners entered the room despite the fact I specifically asked for the room not to be cleaned during our stay. And then left the door open.4. On the last day, we waited 45 minutes to be served breakfast. My coffee was served with milk, which I cannot digest, my 'ciabatta' was a baguette so dry it turned into a gigantic crouton. We checked out 30 min later than planned as a consequence of these delays.On the positive side, the gym was well equipped, the staff was friendly and the room was clean and spacious. The coffee in the rooms was good, the shower water pressure was good. We were promised to be refunded for the breakfast we missed due to their error - has not happened yet, but it's Easter.But wasting so much of our time for breakfast, on two independent days, and leaving the room left open are serious problems, and I will stay elsewhere when visiting this area next time.
