Fine place, not fancy at...
Liked: The breakfast was good, hot food provided.Location was good, easy to get to places
Disliked: The air conditioning didn't work properly even after changing rooms. Seemed like a very old hotel, needed updating. Especially the cooling system

Disliked: When arriving I booked 2 conjoining rooms due to having 6 kids with me and they told me they “gave the conjoining rooms away to people who got there first”. Umm isn’t that the point in booking ahead of time! The pool was dirty it was no joke 78 degrees in the lobby the entire place smelled of weed. There was a guy just walking around the hotel with a joint in his mouth the lady at the front desk was very rude! Rooms were small and smelled bad beds were uncomfortable breakfast was nasty and when my kids asked for a fork (due to no silverware out) the staff was rude to them

Needs improvement
Liked: It was a good value room for the night and the hotel was generally clean with friendly and helpful staff. The front desk lady (Ashley) was very nice and helpful.
Disliked: It was a fine stay, but there were several things "off" about this hotel that we feel obliged to share.When we arrived, we went to our assigned room and found a young couple in the room. They told us they weren't supposed to check out yet. We informed the front desk, who said their computer showed the room as "clean and ready." We noticed the couple leaving as we went to our new room. We're not exactly sure what happened. The staff seemed duly concerned, and our new room was fine.Next, as others have said, it seems that the second floor is for long term residents. That's not a problem in itself, but it was apparent that many of them smoked in the building and stairwells. The hallways are not well-ventilated and the smell of food cooking and smoke was a bit unpleasant (inside our room was ok). We also came across an unattended toddler in the hall late in the evening, and weren't sure whether to be concerned or how to handle the situation. Fortunately another resident showed up and took care of the child.None of the vending machines were stocked or operational. We could not find any bottled water - a minor inconvenience, but unusual. The only working ice machine was on the second floor. Air conditioning in our room worked, but was not as cold as it should be. The whole building felt stuffy and lacking air circulation.Finally, we couldn't help but notice a very tattered Ohio flag on one of the flagpoles out front. It's another small detail that to us suggests a lack of attention to upkeep. I think taking a few minutes to remove or replace the flag would go a long way to showing more care for the property.

Enjoyable.
Liked: The overall experience was good. Quite considering the amount of guests. Property was well maintained and the breakfast area was clean and food was maintained at proper temperature.
Disliked: Climate control in room .
