Liked: Easy check in, very convenient location, located in the heart of downtown and walking distance from all the shops and restaurant. Friendly environment
Disliked: The bathroom probably needed a little airing out

Liked: Lovely environment. The staff is so friendly and nice
Disliked: Nothing about the property was unsatisfactory. It was exactly as looked in picture.

We like it
Liked: I've stayed here numerous times because my husband and I will sometimes want a nicer room (than car camping) while traveling for rock climbing. it's always fun to interact with other guests. everyone is pretty polite. I love having access to fridge, pantry, and a kitchen. love that I can bring my dog there. good value. we always get the room with the double beds. I personally think the beds are comfortable, but they're too soft for my husband.
Disliked: the one time I stayed in the actual hostel side (with the bunk beds), there was a big beetle on the windows, which was fine... until my dog ate it. but thats honestly the only complaint I have of Hostel California. We are repeat guests.
