With breathtaking views over the Tamar Valley the Horn of Plenty offers an award-winning restaurant and elegant luxurious accommodations in 5 acres of spectacular gardens. Dating from the 19th century the hotel is rich in historic character and original charm. A beautiful country house it is privately owned and run and with just 16 rooms offering a warm welcome and friendly personalized service. There is also free Wi-Fi and free parking. Rooms in the main house offer traditional elegance and classic design. The coach house rooms are more contemporary in style and have large LCD flat-screen TVs and DVD players. The bathrooms have modern bathroom suites large walk-in power showers and some rooms have wet rooms. The restaurant has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes and serves superb cuisine made with the finest freshest locally sourced produce. The Horn of Plenty is 20 minutes' drive from the A30 and Plymouth can be reached in 30 minutes by car. Dartmoor National Park the Tamar Valley the Eden Project and Buckland Abbey can be found in the surrounding area.

Liked: We had a wonderful stay , such beautiful views, amazing breakfast in the morning, very friendly helpful staff. .
Disliked: The room was far too hot , no window to open so had to leave the balcony door open all night , the towel rail couldn’t be turned off . Bed very very soft

Liked: Great location for our trip and breakfast.
Disliked: Think there was an more "normal" a la carte menu (which we weren't offered) versus the pricey fine dining options.

Liked: Beautiful location
Disliked: The staff that night. Didn't make you feel you could enjoy yourself. We laughed in the bar area and she shushed us. Im.40 years of age being shhhhhhhhh. Didn't like that

Beautiful location and accommodation, but...

Liked: Beautiful building and location, with large modern rooms in the coach house at the rear of the main house. Comfortable bed and huge, well-equipped bathroom.
Disliked: Breakfast was poor in quality and quantity - bacon overcooked, sausage rubbery and tiny portions of beans l, mushroom and black pudding. Standard supermarket sliced bread used for toast. Don’t match the reputation for good food or the luxury in the accommodation. Service was also a little stiff and formal.
