Liked: Can't really review this because the venue had closed the hotel part down. Booking.com didnt inform me, so I had to find other location to stay.Staff helped me out as much as possible and I did get a full refund. But please don't book here as it's not an hotel anymore.

Liked: The pub was great the staff & locals were so accommodating, but so DISAPPOINTED WITH BOOKING.COM that they didn’t take Holroyd arms accommodation of the site even though they had been informed by the owners that they no longer done rooms.

Disliked: The booking was cancelled last minute and we had to find alternative accommodation.I am waiting for a full refund of £140 from Booking.com this week as advised by an operator. Thank YouDavid Vaughan.

Liked: The location was extremely convenient for an appointment nearby that I had the next morning. I was intrigued that my stay coincided with a live band playing in the bar which was packed with very well-behaved students. It made for a great atmosphere. My evening meal was provided courtesy of a Caribbean Catering van operating in the car park.
Disliked: I would have preferred to have had an in - house evening bar snack ; but I understand that the pub does not do food. However, I was able to eat my Caribbean takeaway in warmth of the pub.I would have expected the pub to have offered some sort of basic breakfast. The gentleman running the takeaway van sold me a burger bun which he wrapped up for me to have for breakfast in my room. Since breakfast was not offered, a small packet of complimentary biscuits in the room would have been welcome.I was not at all surprised that the room did not have any complimentary shampoo ; but I was surprised that there wasn't any soap in the bathroom. Fortunately, I came prepared with my own bar.

Friendly, convenient, basic but pleasant.

Liked: Lovely little grass roots music venue. Please support them. Really important in current times, without them the music industry would be gone.
Disliked: Not really anything I didn't like. :rock on the room door was a bit sticky and needed soap in the bathroom. Otherwise all good.
